To properly celebrate the creation of YourGuild.wowstead.com we are hosting a User Submitted Skin Contest. You heard me right... a contest. Yeah yesterday I woke up to my internet not being up.  So I called the Cable company.  Nope still connected all paid up.  Should be getting internet and TV... but Nope.  TV was snow and Internet was not there.  So I put in  to get a tech out here to check it out.  While on the phone I look out my window and see that they finally decided to get someone in to repair the retaining wall the collapsed a few months back.  Good news is we might be getting 5 parking spots back eventually.  Bad news is they took out our cable line while digging back fari enough to put the wall back up.  So not only was I but all the apartment buildings around us were without cable... They came out early this morning and fix'd it for us.  hopefully move far enough away that it would get cut again by these guys.

So that is why I could not be found yesterday....

As some of you might have noticed Area52's Forums have been cleaned up a bit.  I have removed the WoW Related information completely.  These are gone.  This wasn't being used and most guilds have something similar on their own site.  I have also removed the "Graphics" sections or the forums.  These have all be moved to YOURGUILD.wowstead.com/forums.  I have also move the User Created Skins over to YOURGUILD as well.  There are links to this on both Area52 Forums and the navigation.    I will also be keeping a more up-to-date version of WowStead and Area52's FAQ there [LINK].  The News on YOURGUILD.wowstead.com will be WowStead News.  Mainly fixed, added, removed features and status updates for things and notices WowStead related.  For example if the site will be going down for Maintenance.  a 

I will be going through a lot more and changing things around.  Getting rid of stuff that isn't being used and combining stuff that can go together.  This should make for things to be a bit more easier to find and easier to keep updated.  This may include getting rid of things like the RSS feed as well as some extras on the site.

Some of you may notice a new section found on Area52's forums called "Skins".  This is exactly for what it says... skins.  This is where users can have partial or full skins they create hosted for other members to use.  There is a place to get some opinions or input on your WIP or a bit of help when struggling.  Also there is a place for people to post links or post graphics piece like backgrounds, navheaders, borders, banners, and the likes.  Hope you guys like it.

For those of you I don't chat with on a daily or personal bases, you may not know that as of Monday I have started the Fall term.  I have two terms left before graduating.  This means I am crunching high level courses to finish me requirements as well as being required to keep a nice GPA.  Both of these are requiring more of my time then normal.  So you will be seeing a lot less of me. 

I will be checking forums and tickets around noonish (CST) each day.  I will check them periodically throughout the afternoon.  I may have my IM open, but may not always reply.    

If you have a urgent issue, and in urgent I mean your site is being eaten by ebil kootie bugs or you have come across a mix up in coding that has caused a black hole, then submit a ticket.  If it's just basic run of the mill help needed then post tot he forums.  There is a good chance it's already been answered and a regular can point you in the correct direction.

Jerdon has asked for users' input on what to do next for WowStead.   Choose one existing module/feature, or a new feature, which you'd like to see added or improved and tell me why.  Don't forget to tell him why you think this feature should be top of his list.
